What I found most interesting about this episode and researching it is that, looking outside of the United States, looking at other countries, every country moves towards equality, towards freedom for all, towards justice. New Zealand is no different.
Looking outside and seeing that they have the same struggles, that they have the same unfair attitudes that were slowly disappearing but trying to hold on, grasping with their very last breath of dying air. It just reminds me that no matter where you're at, there will always be struggles and there will always be groups that need to be recognized, supported, affirmed, and brought to the table.
That's what I think I learned and saw from New Zealand, so it reminded me that I just have to keep fighting no matter where I'm at.
