Every time I dig into a story like this one, I find hope in the people who refused to stop fighting. The reclassification of homosexuality by the WHO didn't happen because a committee decided to do the right thing on its own. It happened because countless front-line resistors pushed, organized, showed up, and kept going even when progress felt impossibly slow.
To all of those brave souls who fought to change the WHO classifications: I raise my glass. You were up against institutions, against stigma, against the weight of official medical opinion. And you won. That victory belongs to them, and we're all living in the world they helped build.
