Event

On this day in 1996, Buenos Aires banned discrimination based on sexual orientation and repealed laws allowing police to arrest and hold gay men and lesbians without charge. A major victory in Latin America.

Event

On this day in 2008, the Connecticut Supreme Court ruled that the state constitution protects the right to same-sex marriage. Connecticut became the third state to embrace marriage equality through judicial action.
